Escape the Crowd at this Hidden Floating Restaurant in JB

Craving a good home cooked meal, but also wish to get away from city life? Check out WohBee The Floating Canteen, a hidden kelong restaurant located at Kukup Fishing Village.

The restaurant is located about 10 minutes away from the fishing village, but it’s not difficult to spot due to its unique slanted rooftop and wooden exterior. You’ll find that the interior is equally rustic as well — each wooden furniture you see inside is handmade by the owner’s family to make the place feel like home.

At Woh Bee, find home cooked Chinese food that’s reminiscent of Chinese New Year all over again, such as freshly-caught seafood dishes.

Apart from seafood, they’re also known for their charcoal braised pork and five fragrance pork roll.

The restaurant also screens movies from time to time, so you can unwind after dinner over a good film.

Most importantly, do note that WohBee is only open on Saturdays!

To get to Kukup Fishing Village, it’s advisable to either hire a private charter to drive you there straight, or take a bus from Larkin Bus Terminal to Pontian, and then a cab to Kukup.
