We absolutely love forest-themed high teas, and there’s a new whimsical one that’s just launched at Intercontinental Singapore’s Lobby Lounge, and it even comes with unlimited gelato scoops!
The new Ethereal Forest Afternoon Tea comes served on a wooden tray and accompanying mini “treasure chest”, instead of the usual tiered tower or birdcage. The set resembles a lush forest or moss-filled garden, complete with a mini bench and even a bird’s nest filled with egg-shaped savouries and actual quail eggs!
Nestled within the “forest” are delectable treats shaped like snails, bears, and also edible “pebbles”, “tree trunks” and “mushrooms” too. Some items to look forward to from the set include the Golden Egg in the Nest (one of our favourites), Parma and Winter Truffle Puff, Barbequed River Eel Quiche, Mossy Pebble, Sunny Escargot, Choco Tree Trunk and more.
As an added interactive touch, one of the savoury items, the Wagyu Beef and Black Trumpet, is also served in a mini wooden “treasure chest”. The high tea experience also comes with unlimited gelato scoops and toppings straight from the trolley. During our visit, there were 4 flavours available: Mango Sorbet, Mixed Berries Sorbet, Chocolate and Vanilla.
