If you know Nicole’s Flower, you’re probably familiar with the family of botanical-inspired cafés and restaurants under the group, now formally known as Fleurosophy Group. Fleurosophy is home to gorgeous concepts like @cafedenicolesflower, @lejardinsingapore, @underderlindensg and @cesoirsg; and new to the group is the beautiful La Forêt, located in the same vicinity as Ce Soir and Under Der Linden at Portsdown Road.
Even though La Forêt’s location is a little out of the way, one might say that it’s worth the journey as you get to enjoy a more quiet and tranquil experience in an absolutely beautiful space. Compared to its other sister concepts, La Forêt has a much more toned-down aesthetic: instead of vibrant blooms in the decor, the florals used here are more muted and nude-toned, giving the space a more autumnal vibe. Just like all the other botanical concepts under the group, La Forêt’s space is uber Instagrammable from floor to ceiling, and you’ll definitely find plenty of OOTD spots at every corner!
Instead of being a full-fledged café, La Forêt is more of a dessert house, and they currently only have one menu offering, which is an 3-course afternoon tea set for 2 at $98; they don’t have a la carte options at the moment. The set includes 2 savoury canapês, an Egg Mayo Sandwich and Tomato Tart; desserts for sharing, your choice of premium flower tea and mignardises served atop a chess board. The desserts are beautifully handcrafted by pastry chef @suanne.eng, and are named after a specific bloom like Peony, Forêt, Poppy, Camelia, Rose and Mandala—each of them super visually gorgeous and aesthetic. To go along with your sweet and savoury treats, the dessert house also offers sparkling teas, coffee, cocktails, mocktails and wine.
