The coquette aesthetic is all the rage right now: with coquettecore fashion, coquette-themed cafés and now even coquette lattes?! We found an adorable 2-storey dessert café in JB with some of the most coquette drinks we’ve ever seen: coquette-inspired croissant lattes from just ~$4 SGD!
Cakes by Fash is known for their sweets, and they’ve recently launched a new menu item, the Ribbon Croissant (RM10) that you can add to any drink from their menu! The Ribbon Croissant costs RM10 (~$3 SGD) on its own, but if you’re getting it with a drink, you just have to top up RM8 (~$2 SGD) instead. The unique pastry is shaped just like a ribbon, and is actually Kinder Bueno flavoured: with a flaky chocolate croissant pastry and exploding with luscious cream when pulled apart.

The Ribbon Croissants are skewered with an extra long straw and added to your drink of choice, making it great for carrying around as a snack to have on the go. We’re told that the Ribbon Croissants are made fresh twice daily: one batch in the morning, and another in the evening, with limited quantities available.
While the drinks we had weren’t anything too mindblowing—your standard café-style drinks—we were pleasantly surprised that the Ribbon Croissants weren’t overly sweet, and still super crispy. Cakes by Fash also offers plenty of other bakes (from RM3.50) like a wide assortment of mini tartlets, cupcakes, cookies, cakes and more. The café is located less than 15 minutes away from the checkpoint.
