No need to travel all the way to Jeju or Busan for some authentic Korean-style seafood and sashimi; we found a Korean-run restaurant right here in Singapore offering Korean sashimi buffets for just $88+ per person, with no GST!

Located in Singapore’s very own K-town, Tanjong Pagar, Badaro Korean Seafood Restaurant is an underrated spot that stands out from all the other meat-centric KBBQ joints in the area as it offers only seafood, especially of the raw variety. If you’re a fan of sashimi, they’ve got a special Korean Sashimi Buffet where you can order unlimited servings of assorted seasonal sashimi like flatfish, croaker, yellowtail, sashimi and more. The sashimi are all prepared fresh and sliced to order, and the types of sashimi served will vary daily.

That’s not all that comes with the buffet: you also get to enjoy a slew of other premium “side dishes” that are really more like main dishes rather than your usual Korean banchan selection. The sashimi buffet comes with even more seafood dishes like fresh uni, raw soy sauce marinated crabs, snow crab, raw shrimp, abalone, spicy blue crab stew, fried baby crabs, assorted sushi, fried seasonal fish, sea squirt and conch, among others. This is on top of the usual side dishes like seaweed rice, sashimi bibimbap, seasoned sashimi salad and lettuce wraps too.

We’ve yet to try out the buffet for ourselves, but from online reviews, Badaro seems to be frequented by plenty of Koreans; and many online reviews have vouched for the freshness of their seafood as well. At $88+ per person for a full table of unlimited sashimi and seafood dishes that would usually cost at least $20 each, we think it’s a pretty good deal, especially if you’re a seafood lover.
