The Little Mermaid literally comes to life at this new mermaid bar in Singapore; aptly called The Mermaid, this mesmerising restaurant and bar lets you dine “underwater” with real mermaids, live bands and DJs!
The dimly-lit space boasts high ceilings, atmospheric blue lighting, holographic “sea creatures” as decor pieces and wall-to-wall water-inspired projections all around, so you’ll really feel like you’re dining “underwater”, somewhere deep in the ocean!
The magic doesn’t end there: the highlight of the place is nightly live mermaid performances, where you’ll get to be awed by beautiful mermaids swimming right before your eyes! The mermaids will even showcase some of their “tricks” like blowing kisses underwater and making heart bubbles—truly an enchanting experience.
Live mermaid performances are on every night, from 7.30pm onwards, with each performance lasting about 15 to 20 minutes. Make sure to come around for dinner if you wish to catch the gorgeous mermaids in action! There will also be live bands and DJs playing on selected days, in addition to the mermaid shows.
Following the ocean vibe of the place, The Mermaid’s menu is also seafood-inspired. Seafood highlights include mains and bar bites like Seafood Stew ($42), Red Prawn Linguine ($36) and Crabmeat Tagliatelle ($36), Grilled Whole Squid ($18), “Fish & Chips” ($16), Jerome Miet Speciale Oysters (from $30) and more.
For meat lovers, you can also opt for various steaks and meat dishes like Beef Tongue Katsu Sando ($18), Brandt Hanging Tender ($40), Westholme Wagyu Petit Tender ($38) or Iberico Pork Rack ($48), just to name a few. There are also ocean-inspired cocktails ($18 each) like Mermaid’s Tears, Baseless Ocean, Pina Kolala and others, alongside a selection of mocktails, wine, champagne, beer and spirits.
