Udon lovers rejoice: the viral Himokawa “flat” udon noodles from Ginza are finally in Singapore! Located in the CBD area at GUOCO MIDTOWN is a new concept by the folks at Omoté called Umai: Singapore’s first-ever artisanal udon bar!

Umai specialises in everything udon, and boasts 4 different types of handcrafted udon: Hoto, Sanuki, Himokawa and Hippari. Udon bowls start from $12, and you can get them cold, hot, or even stir-fried! They’ve also got plenty of novel fusion flavours you can choose from, with flavours inspired by local, Korean, Italian, and even Thai cuisine!
