Did you know there’s a way for you to earn transport money to be used on Singapore’s buses and trains, literally for free? There’s no gimmick here, just good ol’ walking and clocking your daily steps with the National Steps Challenge!

First you’ll need to own one of the HBP Fitness Trackers; and download the Healthy 365 app, of course. If you’ve yet to collect your tracker, you can find out where’s the nearest place to do so here. Once you’ve done so, get walking with the tracker and start clocking in your steps daily in the app by syncing your progress at the app’s homepage. With some patients, you’ll be able to accumulate Healthpoints, which you can then use to redeem free transportation money!

To redeem your Healthpoints, follow these steps on the Healthly 365 app:
- Go to the “Rewards” tab on the Healthy 365 app.
- Select “Redeem Now” to view the rewards catalogue.
- Select the “TransitLink” option to convert your Healthpoints into TransitLink eVouchers.
- Choose how much you wish to redeem (150 Healthpoints = $1 TransitLink eVoucher).
- Head to the TransitLink top-up kiosk, select “Vouchers & Rewards”, your eVoucher is ready for redemption!

Note that you can only redeem the eVouchers with a valid travel card, eg. EZ-Link, concession or NETS FlashPay cards. See the top-up process with this video posted by TikToker @quokkasia:
@quokkasia Many people still ask me how to do it… i #teachyou it’s relatively simple.

Aside from public transportation eVouchers, you also have the option to redeem eVouchers for Fairprice, HBP, LiHO, Mr Bean and others, or even donate to the Community Chest or Singapore General Hospital.
