Extremely soft Japanese pancakes from Riz Labo Kitchen
From pudding-like omelettes to jiggly pancakes, Japan has a knack for whipping up food that’s melt-in-your-mouth creamy yet fluffy – and it’s something that we just can’t get enough of. Luckily for us, Riz Labo Kitchen is one of Tokyo’s most popular Japanese soufflé pancake cafes and it has finally opened its doors here in Singapore!
Made with organic ingredients and pesticide-free rice flour imported directly from Japan, the pancakes are entirely gluten-free and healthier than the usual ones.
The 3 staple flavours include Plain ($15), Matcha ($18), and Premium Chocolate ($18), and are all served with a generous dollop of homemade full cream whipped cream!
The Matcha is good for those who prefer something less sweet.
The Plain also comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, the Matcha is topped with azuki bean paste, and the Premium Chocolate has a side of chocolate ice cream.
Plus, there are limited-edition seasonal flavours every month, with this month’s being the Japanese Strawberry ($20). Topped with fresh strawberries, strawberry ice cream, and strawberry jam instead of syrup, this item is limited to just 10 servings a day and will only be around for a week!
If you’re lucky, the cafe also has Gluten-free Rice Flour Cookies ($4) on sale on certain days, and also offers a range of hot and cold drinks like soy milk lattes and organic teas to quench your thirst!
