If soba is your noodle of choice—get excited because Tokyo’s famous soba restaurant has just opened its first-ever outlet in Singapore! LILYAN is a popular traditional soba spot in Roppongi, Tokyo, and now you don’t have to fly all the way to Japan to try their soba because they’ve opened a shop in the Boat Quay area.

LILYAN specialises in freshly-made soba noodles made from 100% buckwheat that’s also gluten-free, making them easy to eat and digest. LILYAN ’s Singapore outpost is a soba-izakaya hybrid, serving up soba sets for lunch, plus tapas for dinner. They serve pocket-friendly soba sets starting from $12 each, with both traditional options for soba purists like Tororo Yam and Egg ($16), Bonito Flakes and Grated Daikon Tsuyu ($15), Traditional Hot Dashi Soup Soba ($12) and more.

If you’re feeling a little more, they even have more unique fusion-style soba options like “Mapo” Hot and Sour Tsuyu ($17) and Porcini Cream Tsuyu ($18). Each meal item at Lilyan also includes an appetiser, homemade soba soup and hot soba tea.
