Singapore is no stranger to coffee festivals, but coffee connoisseurs, you’re in for a real treat at the inaugural La Kopi 2019 – a one-of-a-kind coffee consumer festival that has more than just quality brews to savour.

Featuring an exciting live barista competition, a variety of games and activities to participate in, and masterclasses with world-renowned roasters, the festival is designed to raise awareness and appreciation of coffee roasters in Singapore.
Up to 70 vendors will be present with booths for you to explore, and some even hail from Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Hong Kong – a perfect chance for you to discover foreign blends that might become your new personal favourite!

Desserts and pastries will also be available to go hand in hand with your beverages, and some of the bakeries include Doughnut Shack, a takeaway artisan doughnut shop, D’Bun, a traditional bakery famous for its handmade baos and dim sum, and Mont Calzone, a bistro and bar that specialises in fusion Italian cuisine.

Budding baristas and coffee enthusiasts can then rub shoulders with the likes of the 2018 Japan Aeropress Champion and the folks from The Cupping Room HK, or catch an origami dripper demo by Trunk Coffee Japan and pour-over coffee demo by Hoshikawa Cafe.

Finally, to work off all the caffeine jitters, simply head to the La Kopi Playground and relive your childhood days with old-school games like marbles (gor li), hopscotch, and five stones.
