Your upcoming weekend plans are set: there’s a new roving food festival happening this September at various malls in Singapore, and it’s got plenty of food, live performances, activities and games! PLAYFEST™ 2024 is an ongoing traveling festival happening over multiple weekends across 2 malls in Singapore.
The experience kicks off at Tiong Bahru Plaza, with over 10 different food stalls to explore offering eats from countries all over the world. There’s a curated selection of various local and international cuisines like Korean, Japanese, Thai, Spanish and Western, among others.
Some food highlights include Spicy Korean Noodle Egg Rolls, Thai Kanom Luk Chup, Mango Sticky Rice, Churros, Lok Lok, Deep-Fried Soft Shell Crab, Salmon Mac & Cheese and much more. The stalls and vendors available at PLAYFEST™ are also subject to change at each mall’s event.
Aside from eats, there will also be various entertainment and activities you can take part in—like the massive larger-than-life Jenga tower that you can play and stack for free! Or you can come down to witness the Giant Jenga Showdown, where groups and families are pitted against each other to build the tallest Giant Jenga Tower for a chance to win up to $1800* worth of rewards!
There’ll also be live band performances, and activities like face painting and balloon sculpture art too. For the full line-up of activities available at each mall, see below:

9th to 15th September 2024 – Hougang Mall L1, Atrium A
16th to 22nd September 2024 – Waterway Point B1, The Plaza
The Waterway Point event is also fully cashless, so you’ll have to pay using PayNow or purchase these “poker chips” in order to buy food. You can get the tokens in values of $2, $5 and $10, purchased exclusively using PayNow onsite.
