This dessert café might be located in the most unique (and unexpected) spot in town—it’s hidden right within an actual bank! Popular coffee and café chain, Baristart Coffee, is tucked away within OCBC Bank at Wisma Atria, and they’ve just launched a series of brand new dessert items!
Forget your run-of-the-mill cream puffs: Baristart’s new Softo Puffs ($7 each) are stuffed full of freshly churned soft serve ice cream—the perfect icy cool treat to beat the recent heat! The Softo Puffs come in 3 different soft serve flavours: Coffee, Milk or Mixed (Coffee + Milk).
We love how the airy puff offers a good base and contrasting crisp texture to the creamy soft serve. Out of the 3 flavours, our favourite was definitely the Coffee one, great especially for coffee lovers!
Another new addition to their menu is the Espresso Mochi Ice Cream ($8.50) a caffeinated spin on the viral mochi-wrapped ice cream that’s served with a freshly-pulled shot of espresso on the side. Pour the espresso shot directly onto the mochi-wrapped ice cream and dig right in with your spoon for that stretchy mochi pull! If you like your coffee black, or super strong, this is the dessert for you—perfectly bittersweet.
Baristart Wisma Atria itself is also surrounded by an actual library/bookstore, so you can take a lap around the shelves to browse some titles while sipping on your coffee and enjoying your sweet treats! The new Softo Puffs and Espresso Mochi Ice Cream are also available at all other Baristart outlets in Singapore.
