Bird’s nest in bubble tea?! This unique dessert café in Singapore specialises in freshly-stewed bird’s nest, and they’ve got the world’s first-ever bird’s nest bubble tea that’s even injected with bottles of bird’s nest!
Bliss Nest Capsules (BNC) is located in VivoCity, and is mostly a takeaway bubble tea shop, with limited dine-in space. You’ll be able to see all their bird’s nest being cleaned and made fresh behind the counter, and we’re also told that all their bird’s nest comes from sustainable farms in Kalimantan, not sourced from the wild.
BNC offers probably some of the bougiest bubble tea we’ve ever had, with drinks starting from $8.20 and each cup already comes with 10g of bird’s nest! If that’s not enough bird’s nest for you, you can also add an additional 10g shot of bird’s nest for $4 each, or an entire 45g bottle of bird’s nest for $15! For a limited time only, they’re also having a promotion where you can get any drink on the menu for free (regardless of price) with every purchase of a bottle of bird’s nest ($15)!

We’ve never had bird’s nest in such a unique drink form, and the drinks are almost like an entire dessert on its own. Try the Mango Milk Jelly (from $12.20) for an indulgent fruity experience infused with sweet mangoes, though the taste of the actual bird’s nest is a little less pronounced with this drink. If you’d like to taste more of the bird’s nest itself, the classic Wolfberry Lychee Tea ($9.80) is a good option.

For something really bougie, try BNC’s premium desserts, all made with bird’s nest (of course) and freshly brewed to order. The Peach Blossom Jelly Milk ($24.80) is served warm in a mini pot, and is almost like a milky bird’s nest dessert “hotpot” filled with premium ingredients like peach gum, red dates, white fungus and more—all well-known health-boosting herbs.

Our favourite bird’s nest dessert is definitely the Luxury Cordyceps Bird Nest ($68.80), with a pleasant herbal taste and brewed with an entire cordyceps stalk and 50-year old Korean ginseng. We also like how each dessert is served unsweetened and minimally and flavoured with natural herbs or ingredients; we could really savour the original taste of the premium bird’s nest and add the sugar syrup/honey to our own liking.
You can also purchase raw bird’s nest to brew at home, or handy ready-to-eat capsules (from $20) to enjoy on the go or present as gifts! While BNC’s bubble tea might not be the most pocket-friendly, it’s definitely a unique way of enjoying the classic health food beyond just stewing it in a soup, and a bonus is that you can enjoy your healthy bird’s nest drinks guilt-free!
