We’re loving how this month starts off with a holiday! Which means that we’ve only got to wait for two more days before its the weekend again, and this May starts off pretty exciting with the opening of the flashy Coco Club and Gucci Osteria. 1. Geylang Serai Bazaar 2019
The annual Hari Raya Bazaar is back this weekend, and will be running for the next month. Crowds flock to the stalls lining the streets around the Wisma Geylang Serai area to break fast with the various mouth-watering eats and shop decorative items like traditional clothes and rugs. And in case your intention to go is just for the ‘gram, this year’s bazaar will have a heavier focus on traditional Malay food and lesser ‘hipster’ food stalls. But all stalls will be Halal, and you can expect offerings like lobster rolls and a White Rabbit bucket drink.

2. COCO Flash Club
Mingle amongst the stars at Coco Chanel’s Beauty Disco which is THE party to be at this weekend. 3. RWS Street Eats 2019
RWS is back with their annual Street Eats affair where the best food and culinary creations from the region come together in one place. Only known to the savviest locals from Malaysia to Taiwan rediscover old favorites and hidden gems for an authentic foodie experience. Nasi lemak with cheesy lobsters, durian chendol bamboo stick rice, hokkien mee, Hong Kong Pork Noodles, and pho from acclaimed chefs are just some of the eats waiting for you. Local food hot spots like Churros Republic and Molly’s Kueh will be repping SG at the food extravaganza.

4. 22 Stories
22 stories, 22 characters, 22 rooms to explore. This is Andsoforth’s biggest immersive installation ever, and they’ve gone all the way with what we’re looking at to be this year’s most Instagrammable exhibition. Each of the 22 rooms are all inspired by various scenes in fairytales, split into 4 zones: Grimmsneyland, Land Of Nights, Wonderland, and Storyland. Get ready for Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, huge swans, magical beanstalks, croquet grounds, and more. You’ll be lucky to spot Cinderella or The Little Mermaid as they spontaneously appear, if not you can just fill your tummies over at the Wonder Bar with farm-to-table meals from Farm Appetit.

5. Peroni Sunset Cinema
Popular outdoor cinema Peroni Sunset Cinema is returning for the first two weeks of May with a solid lineup of blockbusters and indie flicks to make a great date night. Pick from movies like A Star Is Born, Can You Ever Forgive Me, Bohemian Rhapsody and more. Finish the night with a romantic stroll on the nearby Tanjong Beach as you bask in the calming sounds of the waves. Limited tickets are still available for certain movies.

6. Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura
The fashion house has unleashed its next creation – and this one’s edible. Collaborating with globally renowned chef Massimo Bottura of three Michelin-starred Osteria Francescana in Italy, Gucci Osteria is a multi-sensorial experience that brings you further into the indulgent lifestyle of Gucci. And you don’t have to travel all the way to Italy for a taste of the Gucci lifestyle as the restaurant will be making a world tour with its first ever stop in The Arts House in the middle of Singapore. Even the cutlery and dishware are all Gucci branded, although we don’t recommend trying to sneak them home.

7. Troye Sivan ‘The Bloom Tour’ Live in Singapore

8. 왓츠피데 What’s Pide
Korean and Middle Eastern fusion food stand has opened its first outlet in Singapore right smack in the middle of the CBD. The tongue-in-cheek store sells middle-eastern flat breads called pide, but with a Korean twist, with fillings like beef bulgogi, beef and cheddar, garlic relish chicken, hummus, soft-shell prawns, and mushroom balls. Their pocket breads will also taste slightly different from a traditional pide as the bread is more spongy and pillowy.

9. Gardens By The Bay: Tulipmania

10. Phantom Of The Opera
The longest running show on Broadway is making its long-awaited return to Marina Bay Sands Theatre again to thrill theatre goers. Opening this week on 24 April and running until 8 June, The Phantom Of The Opera is a tale of unrequited love and passion set in the Paris Opera House when a disfigured musical genius falls in love with a young soprano protégé. The theatre masterpiece written by Andrew Lloyd Weber is back with an award-winning score featuring classic songs like “All I Ask Of You”, “Masquerade”, and “Music Of The Night”.
