1. Dick Lee Singapop! 60th Birthday Concert

The ICON Series is a new initiative of the Sing50 Fund which was founded in 2015 to preserve and celebrate our Singapore music heritage by fostering knowledge of and affection for Singapore music among the young and the community. The inaugural ICON Series kicks off with Dick Lee, in recognition of his music contribution to Singapore’s culture.
The concert will take audiences through Dick Lee’s musical life journey as he shares his trials and jubilation through songs and stories to inspire the next generation of young talents.
Spanning four decades, the concert will bring audiences from his teenage years when he took part in the Rediffusion Talentime, his first album ‘Life Story’ in 1974, his breaking into the Japan market with the platinum album ‘The Mad Chinaman’, his collaboration with Hong Kong artistes such as Sandy Lam and Jackie Cheung, his foray into musicals like ‘Beauty World’ and ‘Nagraland’, up till the modern era of unique Singapore songs, like ‘Home’ and ‘Our Singapore’.

2. The Color Run

The Color Run Tropicolor World Tour 2016 marks the fifth anniversary of The Color Run. This year, participants will experience an all-new Tropicolor Zone™ on course, where they will be bathed in a tropical array of colors and delicious island scents as they pass through the shade of palm trees, arches, and island-style music. 3. Recess presents Lincey with DJ Lenerd

4. Films at the Fort

5. Shakespeare400 – Hamlet – The Year 1917

An avid reader and theatregoer, Tchaikovsky looked to Shakespeare thrice for his symphonic poems – Romeo and Juliet, The Tempestand Hamlet – and the vindictive role of Hamlet lends itself well to musical representation. This Russian programme sees old friend Nikolai Demidenko take on the lyrical and virtuosic Third Piano Concerto by Prokofiev. Homegrown conductor Darrell Ang closes the concert with Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 12, a passionate portrait of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution.

6. Festival for Good
