1. Lonely Vectors Exhibition

The Lonely Vectors exhibition at Singapore Art Museum features a series of artworks and installations that shed light on the various fault lines, choke points, exclusive zonings and infrastructural politics that shape our global economy.

The exhibition is a multi-site one, and will take place in 3 segments: in various public libraries around Singapore, before ending off in SAM at Tanjong Pagar Distripark itself. To find out where the Lonely Vectors artworks can be found in Singapore, see here

2. +Pavilion Exhibition

This is a free exhibition at Marina Barrage showcasing innovative and sustainable designs to highlight environmentally-friendly building materials and solutions.

The exhibition aims to highlight and urge visitors to consider the carbon footprint that the built environment has, and to educate the public on the positive impact building sustainably can have on the environment.

3. ArtScience Museum Cinema

ArtScience Museum has a brand new cinema with free movie screenings of select films. There will be a different set of films screened periodically, and the current line-up of films will be shown from now till 31st July 2022.

4. 7-Eleven x Tiger Beer 

7-Eleven has teamed up with Tiger Beer to bring you Singapore’s first beachfront store over at Sentosa’s Palawan Beach Walk! The vibrant and eye-catching store features bright graffiti and murals with exclusive menu items only offered at the beachfront outlet.

Look forward to ice-cold pints of Tiger beer on reverse tap, Nitro Tea and Arctic Coke; perfect for quenching your thirst in the scorching heat. There will also be food options and hot snacks from the hot food counter, as well as a selection of ready-to-eat meals.

5. KFC’s #MEANDMYKFC Pop-up 

There’s a new multi-sensory pop-up at VivoCity by our favourite fried chicken joint, KFC! Aside from various IG-worthy photo spots, you can also win limited-edition KFC merchandise from the claw machine plus other sure-win prizes from the gachapon machine!

6. Hendrick’s Sunset Cinema

This is the last weekend to catch Hendrick’s Sunset Cinema at Sentosa’s Tanjong Beach! They have screenings of acclaimed films; so you can kick back and enjoy an outdoor movie on the beach and even enjoy a free cocktail!

This is a “silent cinema”, so you’ll be using noise-cancelling headphones to enjoy the movie for a more immersive experience. The line-up of films include Cyrano, House of Gucci, Belfast, Spencer and more! For more details, see our full article here

7. Spectra – A Light & Water Show 

The highly popular water and light spectacle, Spectra, is back at Marina Bay Sands after a long 2-year hiatus! The free show will be happening every night at the Event Plaza. 

Spectra has a total of 4 acts, and features an array of state-of-the-art lasers, lighting, water effects and projections, coupled with an epic orchestra soundtrack composed by award-winning local music producer, Kenn C. The star of the show is undoubtedly the bespoke 12-metre tall laminated glass and stainless steel prism that will burst to life during the show.

8. Hydrangea Holidays

Experience a slice of the Netherlands right here in Singapore with the new Hydrangea Holidays at Gardens by the Bay! This is the first-ever hydrangea display in Singapore, with over 20 varieties of colourful blooms for all your photo-worthy moments.

The display will also include various traditional elements and installations like windmills, canals, townhouses and a lighthouse, all reminiscent of those found in the Netherlands.

9. To the Forest of Verbs with “MUJI IS” Exhibition

Held in celebration of the “MUJI IS” book, the MUJI exhibition is a super aesthetic and minimalist set up, done in true MUJI fashion with their classic brown recycled paper aesthetic.  

The exhibition is modelled after a “forest”, where visitors can walk through and explore the 15 different verbs included in the “MUJI IS” book. Visitors will also be able to learn about MUJI’s design ethos and product archives through this forest-like experience.

10. Superfluous Things: Paper Exhibition

This is an interactive exhibition at Singapore Art Museum all about—you guessed it—paper! The exhibition not only highlights the important role of paper in our everyday lives, but also evokes thoughts about the relevance of paper in our future. 

Visitors to the exhibition will get to experience various renditions and interpretations of paper: activating all their senses to engage closely with the medium of paper, with materiality and more.

11. For The Time Being Exhibition

Presented by Cuteri Gallery, this solo exhibition features works by Vanessa Liem as she presents reflections of herself in various alien-like humanoid figures in places of desolation. 

Inspired by her own personal life, the works included in the exhibition are highly figurative and surrealistic, shedding light on the oppressive weight of existence through captivating and vivid visuals. This is the final weekend to see these funky artworks for yourself!

12. Off/On: Everyday Technology that Changed our Lives, 1970s-2000s

This immersive showcase explores how everyday technology has changed and shaped our daily lives from the 1970s to 2000s. Here you’ll find familiar settings like home, work and other social spaces filled with nostalgic items like typewriters, payphones, pagers, technicolour television sets and more.
