Still not over Squid Game? Neither are we! Thankfully, we can still continue to bask in the glory of Squid Game with The Secret Patio’s very own version of the show: a Sotong Game Pop-up event just in time for Halloween! The event will be held on 30th-31st October 2021 and will be a highly immersive dining experience inspired by all things Squid Game—but with a uniquely Singaporean twist.
The Secret Patio’s venue will be transformed into a game arena, with players seated in groups of 4 to play table activities from Singapore’s local childhood games, and in true Squid Game fashion, we will not be disclosing what the games are to ensure absolute fairness for all players (iykyk). There will also be many photo-ops with life-sized props and set-ups; and for extra thrill, there will even be a Front Man and a squad of Red Guards present, ever ready to mete out punishment for those who fail to follow instructions.
And the prize? Not 45.6 billion Korean Won unfortunately, but custom-made guard masks 3d-printed with high quality resin will be up for grabs. The best part is: you won’t have to worry about starving on limited rations at the Sotong Game Pop-up, as each player will be entitled to a 4-course fine dining dinner inspired by food items seen on the show. Think: Spicy Sweet Corn Soup, Ajitsuke Tamago, Steak or Squid Ink Pasta and Chocolate Mousse with Dalgona for dessert.
