Talad Neon is the newest night market in the city and it is backed by the same people behind the Platinum Fashion Mall. Officially opened in December, this lively market is conveniently situated in Pratunam and it houses over 900 food and retail shops.
Unlike what you would expect from a usual night market, Talad Neon is helmed by the younger generation of Thai entrepreneurs who know how to cater to the hipster crowd. You can expect to find organized rows of beautifully set up neon stalls, food trucks and shipping container shops where aesthetically pleasing wares are being sold.
Talad Neon is a bustling hub of unique goods ranging from retro fashion and homeware, trendy clothes, kitschy items like wacky reading lamps, and a multitude of food and drinks stalls. Some food highlights include cheesy fries from Friend Cheese, brightly coloured jello drinks where you can add a shot of vodka for just 2SGD, to Joker Ribs – Pork Ribs served with special seasoning.

After a night of eating and shopping, rest and recuperate at the 2-storey massage shop that offers a panoramic view of the night market.
Talad Neon is an all-encompassing experience that not only allows patrons to shop to their hearts’ desires, but also have a good time with live music performances on-site every night. Their funky neon lights add on to the festival vibe, setting it apart from the usual night markets that Bangkok is so popular for.
Because Talad neon is still relatively new, there are a number of stalls that are still vacant. If one were to compare Talad Neon to its more established counterparts like Talad Rot Fai, this new market currently lacks in activity and variety but shows much promise of what it can offer in time to come.
That being said, the upside is that Talad Neon is conveniently located next to the Berkeley Hotel which is only a 15 minutes walk away from the Platinum Mall. Additionally, there is the free tuk tuk service that will be plying between Platinum Fashion Mall and Talad Neon from 7pm to 9pm.
