If you’re a connoisseur of Italian food here in Singapore, you’re probably no stranger to the name Zafferno; but what used to be called Zafferno Italian Restaurant & Lounge is now called Altro Zafferno after they’ve undergone a full revamp just this October. Not only have they gotten a new name, but also a refreshed look and menu—gone are the “traditional” notions of Italian cuisine and decor, in favour of something much more contemporary.
Sitting atop the Ocean Financial Centre 43 stories above ground, Altro Zafferno overlooks the bustling CBD area and has stunning panoramic views of the city skyline. The restaurant area has a modern, swanky vibe with a gorgeous rose gold circular centrepiece, plush blush coloured seats and moody lighting. If you want to soak in the ambience of the outdoors and dine with a view of the city, sit at their lovely outdoor terrace with comfortable rattan sofas that are perfect for lounging on while watching the sun set. The place also has a 12-metre open kitchen where you can witness all the culinary magic happen before your eyes.
As for the food, they offer a 4-course Set Lunch Menu from $78 where you can choose from the likes of Obsiblue Prawn Carpaccio, Provolone Ravioli, Black Cod, Iberico Pork Loin and more. They also have a la carte options like Robbins Island Beef Tartare ($32), Silver Cod ($72), Roaring Forties Lamb ($68) and more. They also have an extensive selection of over 800 Old and New World wines to pair with your food.
