SUSHI “BENTO BOX” OMAKASE BUFFET WITH UNLIMITED TORO, HOTATE, IKURA, UNAGI PLUS FREE FLOW GARLIC RICE, KARAAGE, CHAWANMUSHI & MORE FOR $68++ PER PERSON!

You can probably find quite a few affordable omakases in Singapore for under $70 per person, but have you ever come across an omakase buffet with unlimited sushi, sides and appetisers for the same price? If you’re a sushi fanatic, you might want to take notes, because we found a spot in Singapore offering just that, all for just $68++!

Maguro Samurai is a Japanese restaurant along Robertson Quay, and they’ve just launched a new 14-course Omakase Sushi Buffet for $68++ per person that includes a premium bento box selection of seasonal sushi, plus unlimited sushi pieces, appetisers, sides and more for 75 minutes.

Uni Gunkan

Kanpachi

Ikura Gunkan

Hoho Niku

Salmon

The buffet starts with a 11-piece sushi set, chawanmushi, seasonal appetiser and miso soup. The box contains sushi like Uni Gunkan, Ikura Gunkan, Hoho Niku, Engawa, Hotate, Ika, Kanpachi, Zuniku and more. The items included in the bento box are fixed for now but subject to change periodically. Our favourite bite from this bento set has definitely got to be the Uni Gunkan, that’s topped with a generous dollop of fresh uni; followed by the Hoho Niku, which is a rare fatty cheek cut of tuna that’s been aburi-ed for a smoky flavour. Once you’ve finished the set, you can go right ahead and scan the QR code on the table to order more sushi, appetisers and sides! You’re free to order as many items as you want from their digital menu, with up to 3 sushi pieces in a single order.

Toro

Unagi

Garlic Fried Rice

Yakitori

There’s over 20 unlimited items available to order, including sushi like Toro, Akami, Engawa, Ikura, Ika, Hotate, Kanpachi, Salmon, Unagi, Mekajiki and more. If you want extra uni sushi as well, you can top up $11.80 apiece for additional Uni Gunkan. Aside from sushi, there’s even unlimited cooked dishes you can order, including Chawanmushi, Kama Daikon, Garlic Fried Rice, Tori Karaage and Yakitori. If you’ve got some room for carbs, the Garlic Fried Rice is definitely a must-try—with fragrant fried garlic chunks in fluffy, eggy rice.

You can also make your sushi buffet a boozy one with unlimited alcohol and drinks for additional $30++ per person, inclusive of free flow sake, highballs, shochu, whiskey, beer and soft drinks. The Omakase Sushi Buffet is available all-day, for both lunch and dinner, and only at the counter seats. As the counter seats are pretty limited, you’re encouraged to make reservations before heading down to secure your spot. Quality-wise: the sushi pieces are fresh and satisfying enough to sate those sushi cravings, though probably not the most premium-tasting like you would get at a high-end omakase experience, but at such an accessible price point and for the quantity and variety of items, we’ve got no complaints.

*Note that price of the sushi omakase buffet is subject to change without prior notice.
