If you’re on the hunt for a place to celebrate special occasions, events or even weddings, we might have found the perfect hilltop spot with stunning sea views about 25 minutes away from the checkpoint that looks like something out of a magazine catalogue.

The Veil is a gorgeous glasshouse restaurant perched on a hill in Johor Bahru’s Emerald Bay, with aesthetic and sophisticated interiors, plus floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking lush greenery and the bay. The interior is tasteful and elegantly decorated, with light wood furnishings, plush sofa lounge chairs and marbled tabletops. The best seats in the house have got to be the tables by the windows, where you get to have the stunning views of the bay and nature as your backdrop.

The restaurant offers scenic views from day to night: you can come in the evening to witness the sunset over the horizon, and even on rainy/cloudy days, the space oozes a dreamy charm. The Veil’s interior is also pretty spacious, and we can totally imagine hosting a wedding lunch or dinner here. The outdoor lawn and garden area is also available to book for events.
