Founded by husband and wife duo Mr Tay Kunming and Ms Loke Huiying who are experts trained in the area of gemology, The Gem Museum houses a plethora of gemstones and minerals from all across the globe.
As Singapore’s first and most comprehensive private gemstone museum, its purpose is not only to be a place to admire beautiful gems, but also to educate visitors on the process itself: from mining the raw stones to seeing the finished gems in the market, and the importance of Value, Quality and Authenticity.
Book a free Visit to The Gem Museum or attend one of their other events such as the Crystal Appreciation Workshop (now till October 2021), where one will learn about the 7 crystal systems and learn how to properly handle the precious stones. You can also opt for a Guided Tour (now till October 2021) which will take you through the “Mine to Market” process to discover how gemstones are valued and tested for quality.
