This isn’t any other typical ramen – it’s an ice-cold ramen in a beer jug
En Sushi has an out-of-this-world quirk hidden under its belt – “beer” ramen, a new item that just launched on 19th September!
Bearing an uncanny resemblance to a pint of beer, the quirky dish is great for the ‘gram and it’s made with ramen noodles that’s dipped into ice bath together with an umami broth and topped with egg white foam. It’s value-for-money too, with a side of crispy tori karaage (fried chicken), kaisen tofu (fried tofu nuggets) and tasty kakiage tempura (vegetables fried in tempura batter) served for just $22.90!
Make sure to dive right into the Beer Ramen once it’s served though, because the egg white foam on top might harden overtime! To enjoy the dish, you either chug the broth directly from the mug, or use your chopsticks to savour the noodles first.
The noodles are springy, cooked to perfection and goes very well with the robust and hearty umami broth unlike the ramen dishes I’ve tasted before! There are garnishes like seaweed, sesame seeds and spring onions served on the side if the beer ramen is too light for you too!
Here’s a tip – the broth tastes better when mixed with the egg white foam!
Yes, you’ve got that right – you can now slurp up ice-cold ramen served in a beer glass full of flavourful broth and egg white foam! It’s affordable and only has limited portions available daily so grab your friends for a “drink” and give this beer ramen a try as soon as you can!
