The Singapore Coffee Festival (SCF) will be every coffee lover’s dream come true. Held on 9-12 June this year, Singapore’s first coffee-centric festival is a unique hybrid event for both trade and consumer visitors. The four-day SCF 2016 is organised by Sphere Exhibits Pte Ltd as well as Singapore Press Holdings (SPH). Located at the F1 Pit building, SCF 2016 is presented by the Development Bank of Singapore Ltd (DBS), and hosted by The Straits Times.
If you love café hopping with your friends, this event would be perfect for you. Visitors can expect over 100 exhibitors including leaders and pioneers in Singapore’s coffee and lifestyle scene. Specialty coffees purveyors such as Common Man Coffee Roasters, Chye Seng Huat Hardware, Dapper Coffee and Knockhouse Supply Co, will be displaying their wares as well as bringing their fan favourites to the festival. Killiney Kopitiam will represent Singapore’s Hainanese coffee traditions with their kaya, toasted bread, rich kopi, and tea.
While you enjoy tasting all the coffee from exhibitors in the festival, there will also be two music stages which will feature live performances by a stellar line-up of some of our home-grown indie music scene’s finest. These include Joie Tan, Charlie Lim, iNCH, Cashew Chemists and many more.
This festival will also be an exciting opportunity for coffee lovers to learn more about what goes into making a good cup of coffee. The festival is an interactive multi-sensory experience with a unique platform to showcase local craftsmanship in specialty coffee, as well as Singapore’s unique and rich kopi heritage. Besides being a one-stop shop for those interested in all things coffee, there will be a wide range of brewed drinks, beans, gadgets, and machines available for purchase.
If you have ever wondered about what goes behind a delicious cup of coffee, you should sign up for the Lab Sessions held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The workshop will cover all things coffee, such as Latte Art and Fundamental Barista Skills by Common Man Coffee Roasters, The Straits Times and Bettr Barista. Champion baristas, as well as women in the industry, will also be there to have panel discussions where they discuss their experiences and expertise. On top of all these activities, there will also be seminars conducted on finance, photography and more.
If you are trade professionals, F&B businesses, employees of F&B outlets or just want to know more about the coffee industry, the festival will also be showcasing new coffee products.
