Sentosa Island has no shortage of amazing restaurants and bars to try, and 1-Altitude Coast is the latest addition to Sentosa’s F&B scene, with stunning seaside views of the waterfront. Perched atop the top floor of The Outpost Hotel, 1-Altitude is the latest rooftop lifestyle concept by the illustrious 1-Group.
Lounge by the al fresco pool deck while soaking in the sun or take a dip in the infinity pool to cool off on a hot day—all while indulging in all-day modern Asian eats while enjoying stunning rooftop views. 1-Altitude Coast is truly the ideal escape from the busy city life, and is Sentosa’s first and only adults-only rooftop vibe dining destination.
With such a stunning location and vibe, we didn’t really expect the food at 1-Altitude Coast to be anything special, but boy were we wrong. 1-Altitude Coast boasts hearty all-day eats that are perfect for sharing among friends and family. We were blown away by the generous portions served, and while prices are more on the high side (it is Sentosa, after all), we think it’s well worth the money for both quantity and quality.
1-Altitude Coast Assorted Satay Platter, $35
Fried Calamari, $20
1-Altitude Coast Signature ‘Pork Crackles’, $24
Standouts from the menu include the 1-Altitude Coast Assorted Satay Platter ($35) which includes a selection of chicken, pork and beef skewers that’s ideal for sharing. The satay sticks are unlike any other you’ve seen at other hawker centres, 1-Altitude Coast’s satay sticks are said to be “on steroids” as they are at least twice the size of your average satay, making for bites that are extra meaty and juicy.
1-Altitude Coast Wagyu Beef Burger, $30
Prawn & Scallop Pizza, $34
Seafood Laksa Pasta, $34
Beef lovers will also enjoy the 1-Altitude Coast Wagyu Beef Burger ($30), a hefty chonker made with a perfectly grilled wagyu beef patty. We loved how the beef patty was not dry in the slightest, and oozed beefy juices with each bite. For a more local flair, the Seafood Laksa Pasta ($34) is a good option: the lemakness of the laksa really came through, and there was a good amount of spice to the dish. Not to mention the large half-shell scallops, prawns and squid.
Classic Churros, $18
Salmon Tartare, $21
For dessert, their Classic Churros ($16) are pretty unique; instead of the usual coating of granulated sugar and cinnamon, their churros are served only with a light dusting of icing sugar on top so as to let the original taste of freshly fried churros shine through. We liked how the dark chocolate dip on the side is not overly sweet and complimented the plain churros nicely.
Don’t miss out on their specialty cocktails either—perfect for sipping while lounging by the pool and enjoying the panoramic views of the Sentosa skyline. Try tipples like The Siren’s Elixir ($23), Twilight by the Coast ($23), Ultra Violet ($23), or other frozen cocktails, mocktails and spirits.
Not only will you get amazing poolside and panoramic views of the Sentosa Straits and Palawan Beach, you’ll even be able to catch the new Sentosa SkyJet and highly popular Sentosa Musical Fountain for free, against the beautiful backdrop of the sunset; all from the perfect vantage point of the rooftop. To find out more about the latest Sentosa SkyJet, Musical Fountain and other attractions at Sentosa, see here.
One downside is that enjoying the full experience at 1-Altitude Coast is heavily reliant on weather conditions. If you come on a clear day, you get to enjoy sunny skies and sunset views, but if it happens to rain, you won’t be able to stay outside to enjoy the gorgeous views and will instead have to adjourn indoors to their sister restaurant, Sol & Ora.
