You’ve probably seen plenty of videos on social media on Japan’s famous Nagashi Somen: a type of “flowing” noodles that are served via bamboo pipes. As the noodles are “flowed” to you through the bamboo pipes flowing with ice-cold water, you’re supposed to use your chopsticks to catch them directly to eat!

Unfortunately, while we can’t experience the same authentic “river flowing somen” in Singapore, we found a place where you can experience something pretty close! Kozen Sushi Bar & Restaurant has just launched their own version of the Flowing Somen ($29.90) where you can catch your own somen noodles!
Granted, Kozen’s version uses a machine that keeps the noodles flowing round and round unlike Japan’s original flowing somen—but hey, at least you won’t run the risk of losing your noodles if you fail to catch them!
The Flowing Somen is good for 2 persons and comes with noodles, as well as toppings like wakame, tamagoyaki and crab stick. Bring a friend along to try Kozen’s Flowing Somen and have a fun and interactive mealtime having to work for your food!
