Donuts and mochi are undoubtedly a match made in heaven, and Korean lifestyle market, Market Blue has brand new mochi donut treats that you’re not going to want to miss. Their in-house donut bakery, DONAS8 has finally opened, and they’re selling the super popular street snack that you’ll find at many Korean markets. Known traditionally as chapssal donuts, these sweet donut balls are made from glutinous rice flour for an addictive crunchy exterior and chewy inside.
The donuts are currently priced at $3.20 each, and come in an assortment of flavours, in either one of 2 fillings: red bean or cream cheese. They are also topped with various powders that correspond to the flavour, such as matcha, cinnamon sugar, cocoa, freeze-dried strawberry and icing sugar. Pick from donut flavours like original, injeolmi, matcha, cinnamon sugar, cocoa, strawberry, and matcha.
