Coffee lovers are no stranger to the brand Alchemist, a popular coffee chain in Singapore with 7 outlets across the island serving up artisanal coffee pours and bakes. If you’re working in the CBD, you’ll be glad to hear that they’ve opened yet another outlet in the area along Robinson Road so you can get your coffee fix!
Alchemist first teased the opening of their 7th outlet in the CBD in early March, much to the excitement of the coffee chain’s loyal followers. The new Alchemist at Robinson Road marks the coffee chain’s 4th outlet in the CBD, and it’s also extra special because it’s the first CBD outlet to offer a dine-in space for customers to enjoy their coffee and bakes! There are also sofa seats for you to sit and wait for your coffee to-go if you’re not planning on dining in.
The new outlet is ultra aesthetic with a one-of-a-kind futuristic interior including steel furniture and tabletops, soft curved seating and ceilings and soft ambient lighting to illuminate the space. Alchemist’s new space is also botanical-inspired, with spots of rustic dried botanicals (courtesy of @floralkokoro) to spruce up the otherwise monochrome, grey-centric café—a colour palette that’s iconic to the brand.
The café is also perfect for spending a quiet afternoon relaxing alone or taking a break from the bustle of work, as the space boasts high ceilings and clear windows overlooking the street for if you’re into doing a little people(or car)-watching while you dine.
Watch your coffee being brewed right in front of you through the open bar, and pick from classic coffee drinks like Black (from $5), Mocha (from $6), White (from $5.50) and more. They also offer pour overs and batch brews. To pair with your coffee, choose from their small selections of bakes from the display like kouign amann, croissants, quiches, danishes and more. There’s also a retail corner where you can pick up some of Alchemist’s coffee beans.
