Healthy Japanese doughnuts, soft serves, and milk teas
Sweet-toothed folks, you can now have your cake and eat it too thanks to Kakuida’s Kurozu, a doughnut takeaway kiosk opened by award-winning Japanese vinegar manufacturer, Fukuyama Kurozu!
Serving doughnuts, soft serves, and a wide variety of beverages like milk teas and smoothies, everything on their menu is infused with kurozu, a Japanese black vinegar that aids in:
- Relieving stress and body fatigue
- Detoxifying the liver
- Stabilising blood pressure
- Boosting metabolism and blood circulation
- Promoting digestion and reducing constipation
- Breaking down fat and lowering cholesterol
- Strengthening the immune system
- Stabilising blood glucose levels
While having vinegar in sweet treats might sound off-putting, Kakuida’s Kurozu only uses kurozu that have been aged for 3 years, which makes it less zesty, more mellow-tasting, and sweet with an aromatic fragrance!
Plus, their doughnuts are made from premium Japanese rice powder and freshly baked instead of deep fried, giving it a uniquely fluffy yet moist texture.
The doughnuts come in 4 different flavours – Original ($1.90), Chocolate ($2.20), Matcha ($2.20), and Sweet Potato ($2.20) – and can have chocolate chips added for just an additional 30 cents!
Other signatures include their Soft-Serves ($3.90 – $4.50), topped with either Japanese brown rice green tea or kuromitsu, a Japanese sugar syrup, and Homemade Iced Lemon Kurozu Tea ($3.90), that has kurozu jelly bits in it!
