Conceptualised with a desire to preserve the heritage of Katong, as well as illustrate a chill and relaxing vibe to whoever sets foot into this new space, Ambling Turtle is a new 40-seater cafe located at The Flow. Armed with a name which originates from two words – ‘Ambling’ which refers to a slow and relaxed pace, and “Katong”, which refers to a species of sea turtle that is now extinct.
Spanning two storeys high, this predominantly wood-interior café, showcases an abundance of natural light through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, and a variety of lush greenery in the form of small leafy plants and massive central tree installation.
Complete with wall sockets and complimentary WiFi, alongside a combination of regular and plush sofa seating arrangements, this café exudes an overall minimalist yet Peranakan-home-inspired aesthetic which matches its menu!
