You don’t need a plane ticket to Korea to experience the viral Gentle Monster-inspired NUDAKE café—we’ve got our very own right here in Singapore!

NOWAFTER Café is a newly-opened café perched on the 3rd level of Design Orchard, taking over the space previously occupied by Alchemist Coffee.
NOWAFTER boasts a grungey industrial interior with concrete tones, accented by black and silver furniture, similar to the vibe of Korea’s popular NUDAKE café. The space also has tall glass ceilings, letting in plenty of natural sunlight during the day.
Their bakes and desserts are also Korean-inspired, with minimalist monochrome hues (save for the matcha options). There’s even a charcoal bun that resembles the iconic black brioche bun from NUDAKE! The IG-worthy Charkey Bun ($13) is the café’s take on the Korean garlic cream cheese bun: with oozy truffle-infused garlic mozzarella cheese. Pull apart the bun with your hands and watch it ooze that garlicky, creamy goodness!
Their Blackmisu ($13) is another take on the classic tiramisu, with an eye-catching black and white lave-esque exterior. This treat is only available after 12pm. For drinks, they have a variety of coffee and matcha options like Uji Matcha Latte (from $7.50), Black Cocoa Vanilla Latte (from $7.50) and Black Sesame Einspanner ($9.50), just to name a couple.
