Ready to party the night away with city views unlike any other? NOVA is a newly-opened rooftop bar in the heart of Singapore, with stunning sky-high views, buzzing music experiences, a giant star-shaped centerpiece and more.
NOVA is perched atop One Raffles Place, the very spot that was previously occupied by 1-Altitude. The outdoor rooftop bar is perched a whopping 63 levels above ground, or some 282 metres in the air—the highest point in the entire city. Having been to NOVA ourselves, we can safely say that the bar offers possibly the best sights in Singapore: with panoramic 360-degree views of the cityscape from all angles, you can see all of the city’s twinkling lights and iconic landmarks from high above.
NOVA is split into 2 levels: the top level is where you find lounge sofas, tables and bird-eye views all around. But the lower level houses the DJ booth and stage area where various artists and DJs are set to perform when night falls. For the upcoming event line-up and performing acts at NOVA, see here.
But what makes NOVA truly nova is the striking ASTRA installation as the focal point of the entire space. ASTRA is a giant multi-faceted star-shaped steel structure that glows and illuminates the space, making for some gorgeous Instagrammable shots too. The star structure pulsates with different coloured lights throughout the night, and is meant to resemble the supernova phenomenon—the explosion of a large star to create a brilliant light that’s a billion times brighter than the sun.
NOVA offers an extensive range of specialty cocktails, house pours, drinks by bottle and more. Some drinks you could try include Maple & Smoke ($22), Sticky Mango Highball ($20), Chocolate & Cane ($22), Roselle ($22) and more. They’ve also got a food menu available, like Grilled Spanish Octopus ($32), Overnight Baked Kagoshima Sweet Potato ($16), Slow Cooked Australian Lamb Ribs ($48) and more.
After experiencing NOVA, you can also pop by High House located just below for an indoor experience that’s a little more laid-back and elegant. NOVA offers free entry on Tuesday and Thursday, and a cover charge of $30 nett per person on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
