Tucked away in the basement of the Mint Museum of Toys is a new vinyl bar, Vertigo 26. Co-founded by music veterans and ad producers Eric Chan and Simon Chia, Vertigo 26 acts as a record store during the day, offering in-house listening from a selection of over 1000 albums. Audiophiles can have a ball diving into their rich collection of vinyl records and cassettes encompassing various genres from over five decades.
When the clock hits 5pm, the record store transforms into a cosy bar serving handcrafted cocktails and bar bites. The bar is helmed by cocktail mixologist Cedric Seth and the food menu is lovingly curated by Kyle Henderson.
Signature cocktails go for $22 each, named after classic songs and movies like Sweet Child O’ Mine, Bohemian Rhapsody, A View To A Kill and Screamadelica. The bar also offers spirits, beer, wine, bubbles and mocktails, as well as soft drinks and hot beverages until 6pm.
Have a few nibbles from their food menu: Deviled Ramen Egg ($5), Truffle Bikini Sandwich ($14) or Uni & Ink Custard ($27) just to name a few.
