Following the opening of the new Ghibli Park in Japan, you can now also ride the actual Ghibli “catbus” around the park starting from 16th March 2024! These low-speed electric vehicles (EVs) are modelled around the iconic fictional “catbus” from Studio Ghibli’s anime film “My Neighbour Totoro”.

These real-life “catbuses” can carry up to 5 passengers, and feature a whimsical cat facade with a playful cat face on the front, a cat “body” with paws and also plush, furry upholstered seats. The “catbus” ride lasts about 10 minutes, and takes passengers around parts of the park that are usually inaccessible by foot.
