Another unique offering at the kiosk are the Imo Kenpi: Japanese-style crispy candied sweet potato sticks or “fries”. This is a popular old-style Japanese snack featuring sweet potato that’s cut into thin sticks, fried and coated in syrup, giving a firm and crunchy texture. The Imo Kenpi at Inoue Matsuzo comes in bags priced from $6.80 per 100g. They currently have 4 flavour options: Sweet, Soybean Powder, Sesame and Brown Sugar.
