Hello Kitty lovers, don’t we have news for you! There’s a brand new Hello Kitty-themed carnival pop-up happening in Singapore! The adorable carnival will have plenty of photo ops with giant Sanrio statues, themed carnival games, amusement rides, a retail store, photo booths and more!
The Carnival with Hello Kitty & Friends is coming to Changi Airport’s Terminal 3 this November 2024 in celebration of Hello Kitty’s 50th Anniversary; and here are some of the highlights you can expect from the event:
Hello Kitty & Friends-themed rides and games
There’s a total of 10 amusement rides and 24 carnival games at the event, and all of them are Hello Kitty & Friends-themed. Look out for a Kuromi and space-themed ride where you’ll have to use a net to catch balls as they shoot out of a “rocket” and while the ride is moving. There’s also a unique gachapon train where you can snag gachapon ball prizes using the claw as you ride around the train!
There’s also a whimsical dessert-themed swing carousel and mini train; a Cinnamoroll-themed carousel ride, Little Twin Stars-inspired train, pink vikings ride, Bad Badtz bumper cars, and even the viral Floor is Lava game too!
Hello Kitty & Friends-inspired carnival games
Even the old-school carnival games are Hello Kitty & Friends-themed, and feature some of your favourite Sanrio characters. There’s various retro-inspired carnival games like ring toss, ball toss, fishing, cup tower knock down and more; and you’ll get to win Sanrio plushies and toys as prizes!
Aside from carnival games, there will also be plenty of claw machines and gachapon machines where you can try your luck to score even more Sanrio plushies and items. You’ll even be able to snag some keychain pendant plushies of Sanrio characters to hang on your bag!
Giant Sanrio figurines & photo spots
Spot some larger-than-life statues of your favourite Sanrio characters, including Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Hangyodon, Pompompurin and Bad Badtz!
There’s even a rainbow LED tunnel for you to snap photos with, plus photobooths with exclusive Hello Kitty-inspired photo frames! The photobooth is priced at $8 per session, including 2 photo strips.

What’s a pop-up event without some merchandise? Grab limited-edition Hello Kitty & Friends merchandise from the retail store, including exclusive bags, accessories, toys, collectibles and stationery, among others.
Entrance to the Carnival with Hello Kitty & Friends event at Changi Airport at Terminal 3 is free for the public from 1st November 2024, 6pm onwards. Note that all games and rides require tokens to play, and you’ll be able to purchase them at various token exchange machines on-site. Each game/ride costs about 5-10 medals per play, and prices are subject to change.
