NEW GAMING-THEMED DIY NOODLE CAFÉ WITH OVER 80 NOODLE OPTIONS, FREE FLOW CONDIMENTS & PREMIUM TOPPINGS LIKE ABALONE, PRAWNS, SALMON SLICES & MORE!

Craving for a midnight noodle snack? Midnight Noodle Bar is a new late-night DIY instant noodle café near Farrer Park with over 80 different noodle options that you can customise with premium toppings and unlimited condiments!

The vibey space is gaming-themed, and you have different stations where you can “level up” your noodles: starting with picking your noodles from the massive noodle “library”, selecting ingredients from the topping bar and adding free flow condiments to finish.

There’s around 80 different noodle flavours available on display with noodles from Korea, Japan, Thailand, China, Vietnam, Indonesia and more—many of which are pretty unique and can’t be found easily in supermarkets. The noodles are priced according to 3 tiers which are labelled on the wall itself: Green ($2.50), Orange ($3.50) and Red ($5.50).

Once you’ve picked your desired noodle packet, head to the toppings bar to customise with your favourite ingredients. There’s over 60 toppings available, with various options displayed varying from day to day. There’s Regular Toppings ($0.90 each) like assorted vegetables, mushroom, fishballs, cheese tofu, egg tofu, beancurd skin, sausages, cheese slices and more. Or you can opt for a more premium experience with Deluxe Toppings (from $1.50 each) like baby abalone, sous vide chicken, beef shabu slices, salmon slices, raw prawns, and minced chicken, among others.

After making payment, just head to one of the DIY cooking stations to put everything together. There’s detailed, easy-to-follow instructions on how to cook each dry/soup noodle type, and staff on hand to assist as well, so you don’t have to worry about messing up. The cooking process was simple and fuss-free, and we had a piping bowl of noodles with all our favourite ingredients within minutes.

The only thing left to do is make the final touches with free flow condiments. For an extra $1.50, you get access to unlimited condiments like fresh spring onion, coriander, fried onion, chopped chilli padi, kimchi, Lao Gan Ma chilli, furikake, sesame oil and more. Do note that this $1.50 condiment charge is compulsory for all diners.

During our visit, we tried a variety of soup and dry noodles, adding 5 toppings to each bowl with a mixture of both Regular and Deluxe toppings, and the prices for our bowls worked out to about $10 to $15 each. Granted, we picked some of the rarer noodle options from Orange/Red tiers, and also added some deluxe seafood and meat toppings, which definitely made the noodles more expensive than usual. That said, you probably shouldn’t expect that a bowl at Midnight Noodle Club to be super “cheap” like the usual instant noodles you cook at home, especially if you’re customising with toppings; you’re definitely paying for the experience.

While it’s definitely not an everyday affair, a meal at Midnight Noodle Club will definitely hit the spot, especially if you’re craving a late-night snack. If you’re planning on frequenting Midnight Noodle Club, they even offer annual memberships for a fee of $18 a year, which includes exclusive perks like waived condiment charges, free toppings, your first meal on the house and more.
