The popular GastroBeats is back at Bayfront for another edition this 2024, with plenty of food, music and entertainment—plus, entrance is free for all! For the uninitiated, Gastrobeats is a pet-friendly outdoor food festival featuring some 50 stalls and exciting live performances, carnival games, amusement rides and more.

Some food highlights to look forward to include an entire Indonesian food street (a first for the event), as well as other local homegrown F&B brands offering eats like sushi tacos, mochi croffles, grilled yakiniku beef cubes and BBQ smoked meats, just to name a few. There will also be exclusive pop-up booths by Ben and Jerry’s, Coca-Cola, Asahi and Schweppes, among others.

2. i Light Singapore 2024

Happening in tandem with GastroBeats is the annual night light-up affair, i Light Singapore, with its 10th edition so far. The light festival will take place at the usual Marina Bay, South Beach and Millenia Walk areas, plus an additional district at Tanjong Pagar. 2024’s edition is titled Cyclical Nature, and features 17 unique and interactive artworks, each with the theme of sustainability.

Some key artworks to look out for on the trail include glowing giant balls of “yarn”, “fish” jumping out of water, IG-worthy mist ring, larger-than-life “dandelion”, neon swings, massive colourful meteorite-esque inflatable structures and more.

3. Wellness Festival Singapore

For the health and fitness junkies, here’s an event to look out for: the Wellness Festival Singapore is making a comeback this June 2024 with a new line-up of wellness activities! Break a sweat and get your adrenaline pumping with sporty activities like workout classes, and even events catered towards mental health.

Some of the programmes you can look out for include snow boxing, candlelight yoga, beachside workout classes, hot or cold baths, oxygen therapy, art workshops, forest bathing and more. 4. Mercury Festival: Cosmos’ Meadow

Touted as Singapore’s largest pop-up event for homegrown and small businesses, Mercury Festival is coming back for a 3-day event this May 2024! The event spotlights local craft, arts, jewellery, clothing brands and more, and the upcoming edition is said to host some 100 unique vendors, and entry to the event is free.

5. TRIFECTA Summer Festival

Popular surf, snow and skate park, TRIFECTA is now having a month-long festival filled with summer fun, with beginner-friendly ski and snowboarding competitions, DJ performances, food bazaar, skating and surfing activities, live art demonstrations and more.

6. Night at Orchard

The popular Night at Orchard (NAO) bazaar is back once more for a 3-day run along the outdoor walkway of Wisma Atria to Ngee Ann City! NAO is Singapore’s only night market in the heart of town, and each edition brings a slew of various retail, creative and experiential brands to discover.

Look forward to shopping from a new line-up of vendors: from jewellery, handcrafted items, apparel, lifestyle accessories, scents, pottery, tech and electronic gadgets, among others. 7. Inside Out 2-themed Festival

Experience a world of emotions at the Children’s Festival featuring the new Inside Out 2 movie, held at Gardens by the Bay’s Supertree Grove! The festival is not only for children, but there’s plenty for adults (and the kids at heart) too, as you explore core emotions and characters from the new movie: Joy, Anger, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, Anxiety, Envy, Ennui and Embarrassment.

8. TRIFECTA D.A.W.G

Also happening at TRIFECTA for one day only is D.A.W.G, a pet-friendly market and bazaar catered specially for the furry friends! D.A.W.G stands for “Day of Animals, Wares & Groceries”, and you can bring your pets to shop at a curated farmer’s market filled with pet treats, accessories and organic goods by local artisans.

9. The Xperience

The Xperience is a new 10,000 sq ft pop-up entertainment space in Clarke Quay, boasting a unique retro roller skating experience called the Rollermania 4.0 Forest Skate Rink. Think the old Rollermania, but with an upgrade, featuring a lush forest-inspired vibe, plus carnival games and food too—all in an air-conditioned indoor space.

10. Downtown East Marine Marvels
This popular lifestyle mall in the East is currently having a new ocean-themed attraction, with a massive 85m-long inflatable course, neon playground and Singapore’s first colourful spinning top, exclusive koi feeding sessions and more!
Downtown East is back with Marine Marvels, a marine-inspired interactive and immersive pop-up with a 85-metre long inflatable obstacle course that lets you tackle spiralling structures that mimic coral reefs, conquer the strong ocean “waves” and fight through “drift net” mazes.
