Kunafa lovers: don’t we have a treat for you. There’s plenty of kunafa options now in Singapore, but we found a new spot with a unique DIY kunafa concept, where you can customise all elements of your kunafa—from fillings, sauces and toppings, all from $8.90!
Kebab Konafa is a new halal-friendly kebab and kunafa-specialty store located in Our Tampines Hub, and they’re best known for their affordable Create-Your-Own Kunafa (from $8.90) that lets you DIY your kunafa toppings. Most kunafa places only offer one type of topping/sauce, but here you get to pick multiple, and you can even mix & match your sauces! They offer 3 different kunafa sizes you can choose from: Small ($8.90), Medium (price TBC) and Large (price TBC).
DIY Kunafa (Small), $8.90
After selecting your kunafa size, you can go on to DIY your kunafa by picking the filling (cream or cheese), selecting your sauce(s) and toppings. They’ve got 9 different Arabic-style sauce options available, and all of them (except for Nutella) are imported from Dubai. Pick from sauces like Pomegranate, Pistachio, Mango, Halawa, Kinders, Biscoff, Rocher and more; plus, you can even mix & match as many different sauces as you want.

Unlike other kunafas you see around Singapore, Kebab Konafa doesn’t drench their kunafa in sauce. Instead, each kunafa comes in a handy takeaway box with your plain kunafa base and selected toppings in individual tubs; so you can add as much or as little sauce and toppings according to your preference. We especially liked how their kunafa is not overly sweet or cloying, which is great for those who don’t really have much of a sweet tooth. We’re also told that Kebab Konafa’s kunafa is more of the traditional Mekkah-style, so you get to enjoy a more authentic kunafa here.
Dubai Chocolate, $28.90
Aside from DIY kunafa, they’ve also got the viral Dubai Chocolate ($28.90) bars that are specially made and imported from Dubai as well. The kunafa filling is made with real pistachios (none of that artificial bright green stuff, please), and is also not too overwhelmingly sweet.

Like the name suggests, Kebab Konafa also offers kebabs and other savoury snacks: like the Chicken Kebab ($8.50), Saudi Chicken Samboosa ($7) and Fries ($3.50). If you’d like the best of both worlds, you can opt for their Kebab & Kunafa Combo ($17.80) which comes with full-sized kebab and kunafa for a balance of sweet and savoury.
If you’re an Eastie, definitely swing by Kebab Konafa for their freshly-made kunafa treats that are also perfect for sharing. If you’re not a fan of overly sweet, sauce-drenched kunafa, we would recommend giving Kebab Konafa a try as they’re significantly less sweet, and lets you customise your own kunafa in a myriad of ways.
