Calling all Hypebeasts! Asia’s all-encompassing street convention Culture Cartel is back for its 3rd year. In light of the pandemic situation, the annual convention will be going digital this year with the longest virtual street culture event held in Singapore just yet!
Fans of street culture may be familiar with the event, which was last held at the F1 Pit Building in December 2019 with a whooping 18,500 participants. Featuring a line-up of dope street brands, the convention aims to celebrate the diversity of street culture with a wide array of exhibitions, workshops, and exclusive showcases.
Previous years’ conventions featured many exciting exhibitions, so it’ll be a cool experience to see how these elements will be incorporated into a digital setting this year.
The event will be supported by the Singapore Tourism Board, and include partners such as Klook, Lazada, Action City, sneaker brand Limited Edt, and Word of Mouth Communications. While this year’s line-up has yet to be announced, previous collaborators include big names like OBEY Clothing, PUMA, Reebok, Skechers, and Vans in addition to regional street culture brands from Asia and beyond, so get ready for lots of excitement and cool activities!
This year’s virtual convention will feature an online marketplace with custom-designed 360 degrees rotatable interactive digital booths with pop-ups featuring visuals from participating brands, including 3D renderings and gamified elements. Sounds pretty cool? Well, entry is completely free, so why not hop onto your devices and check the event out!
Culture Cartel is currently hosting weekly lucky draws from 16th October to 4th December, with exciting prizes such as skateboards, customised kicks, limited edition drops, and exclusive collaborative items to be won. Each raffle ticket only costs $2 and can be purchased here – 2 bucks for a chance to win a pair of dope kicks? We think it’s worth it. What’s more, purchase a bundle of five and receive a free bottle of soju!
The event will be held on 5th December, from 1pm to 12am, with more details to be released at a later date. Lots of giveaways and lucky draws will be coming your way, so make sure you follow Culture Cartel’s Facebook and Instagram for more information.
