The ones responsible for popularising the ‘Cruffin’ hybrid—a flaky, sugar-dusted and cream- filled croissant baked in the shape of a muffin, are coming to Singapore! Setting sights on a fresh start for the brand, the Mr. Holmes Bakehouse outlet in Singapore will mark its first Southeast Asia flagship.
Conceptualised in collaboration Singapore- based lifestyle company Caerus Holding, the all-new Mr. Holmes Bakehouse will be strategically located on the ground floor, in a street-facing unit at Pacific Plaza to entice passers-by along Orchard Road with the waft of curious fresh bakes.
Set to open in June 2021, the new flagship will feature a 41-seater bakery-café facing the commuter street to welcome guests through an inviting storefront that is synonymous with the Mr. Holmes Bakehouse experience.
Custom designed with a signature scheme of white and pink, fans who have been to its stores worldwide will be thrilled to witness the returning “I got baked” and peace neon signages for photo-worthy backdrops, cut-out tinted windows to press their noses against, and rows of fresh bakes on display in an open-seating space, flanked with white-tiled walls and an all-pink ceiling for a convivial pastry wonderland.
Complete with a selection of bakes which include all manner of donuts, croissants and cruffins, Mr. Holmes Bakehouse Singapore will showcase a menu specially curated by pastry chefs from the original flagship in the USA. Guiding their local counterparts in everything across pastry crafting techniques, recipe development and operation protocols, Singaporean patrons can rest assured that all Mr. Holmes Bakehouse goods will be freshly handcrafted.
Conveyed through a quarterly seasonal menu, fans and pastry lovers can look forward to tearing into a new array of delectable bakes every three months so the team gets to explore new ideas in keeping the selection exciting for customers.
Available for dine-in and takeaway, diners can choose to “get baked” with a spectrum of sweets and savouries on ground, or have them to-go with a quick snap against the store signages to flaunt the loot. On the beverage front, diners can choose to pair their pastries with either a classic cup of coffee and tea done their way, or kombucha for an effervescent and tart refresher.
