Alcohol-flavoured mooncakes have become quite a thing in recent years, but have you heard of mooncake-flavoured alcohol?!
In light of the incoming Mid-Autumn Festival, MO BAR at Mandarin Oriental Singapore has launched a series of never-before-seen cocktail creations inspired by the flavours of mooncakes.
The new limited-edition cocktail mixes are available in three flavours – Whiskey Oolong Milk Punch, Matcha Mule, and Single Yolk Old Fashioned. Sound like your favourite mooncake flavours, don’t they?
The way the cocktails are made ensures that the flavour of the mooncake is infused into the very essence of the drinks. The Whiskey Oolong Milk Punch is concocted with Scotch, mango, and pandan clarified with Oolong mooncake. The Matcha Mule comes with Sonic wave-infused Matcha mooncake Vodka, and the Single Yolk Old Fashioned is made with bourbon, distilled single yolk mooncake, and bitters.
Each 140ml bottle costs $18, and you may get all three in a bundle for $50.
