Japanese snack and confectionery brand, Meiji has recently launched mushroom-shaped wireless earbuds modelled after their famous Kinoko no Yama chocolate snack, or more popularly known as Chocorooms. The mushroom earbuds look just like the snack itself, but be warned—they’re absolutely not for eating! The earbuds even come in a quirky case similar to the snack’s original packaging, so you can carry them around.

The product was initially introduced as a cute concept on Meiji’s X account, but garnered such hype that they actually decided to produce and release it for real for fans of the sweet treat. The mushroom earbuds are priced at 29,800 yen (~$257 SGD) a pair.

Unfortunately, only 3500 units were produced, all of which were snapped up within minutes of the launch, so you’re not likely to be able to get them online from their official website. For Chocoroom fanatics looking to snag a pair, we can only hope Meiji will be re-releasing more units of the mushroom earbuds here in Singapore.
