If you’re an absolute plant lover, you’ll definitely be stoked about Far East Flora’s latest Garden Centre: a mega 11-storey tall plant haven with over 1000 plant types and over 500 flower varieties, a café, grocery store, and rooftop sky garden!
One-stop shop for all your plant needs & more
Much like Far East Flora’s other outlets, you can expect a wide variety of plants and flowers for you to choose from. A major plus point of the new building is that most of the building is indoors, so you can shop in air conditioned comfort!
Another special feature about the new Centre is that the various plant offerings are separated across the levels, so it’s easier for you to find and zero in on what you’re looking for! For example, the Basement level is dedicated to exotic plants and flowers for lifestyle and home decor: such as orchids, roses, hydrangeas and terrariums, to name a couple.
Level 1 is where you’ll find most of your indoor plants, house plants, gardening tools, plant care and fertilisers, pots and planters.
Level 2 has a Coldroom where you can get a wide variety of wholesale fresh flowers (from $2.90)—but you’ll have to cut and dethorn them yourself—customisable and ready-made flower bouquets (from $50), floral gifts and hampers (from $60).
Level 9 is for paludariums, vivariums and water features, aquatic accessories, and is also where children’s nature appreciation workshops will be held.
Plants are priced affordably, starting from just $3 each and can go up to the thousands of dollars for the larger, more exotic plants. There are also baskets and trolleys available at every level, so you can shop with ease.
Artisanal grocery & pet store
Aside from plant-related goods, you can also shop their fruits and vegetable area (from $0.45), with premium fruits like strawberries (from $4.90), blackberries ($5.90), raspberries ($7.90), avocados (from $3.90), grapes (from $9.90) and more—all at wholesale prices.
There’s also an artisanal grocery store, Ryan’s Grocer, where you can get pantry goods, organic food items, snacks and produce (from $1.75). Some items you’ll find include premium snacks like granola, cereal and gourmet chocolate bars (from $2.25), cooking sauces (from $4.90), assorted nuts (from $3.90) and more. You can even shop for your furry friends at Pet Lovers, stocked with pet supplies and food (from $1.15). However, do note that while there is a pet store, the Far East Flora Centre building itself is not pet-friendly.
Lifestyle goods & home decor
For the first time ever, Far East Flora has launched a range of lifestyle items (from $7.90) that you can only find at the new Centre.
These include soft furnishings and accessories for your home like woven baskets, aesthetic rugs, candles, diffusers, adorable animal decor, wind chimes and moss art, among others.
Scenic rooftop Sky Garden
The top floor of the building is dedicated to the Sky Garden, where you’ll find most of the herbs and edible plants; as well as outdoor plants, especially of the hanging and larger variety.
These include large cacti, fruit and non-fruit trees, semi-shade plants, big pots and planters.
In-house café & bakery
Unlike other Far East Flora outlets, the new Centre has an in-house café, F’EAST, where you can chill out and relax after hours of plant shopping. The café has a serene garden-inspired ambience, and the food served reflects the plant vibes as well.
We were pleasantly surprised at the presentation of the food, with fresh ingredients that are tastefully plated with herb/botanical accents that could rival other cafés in Singapore. The F’EAST Seafood Platter ($69) is great for sharing, packed with prawns, scallops, calamari, mussels and potato wedges.
Other highlights from the menu include Ricotta Hotcake ($17), Roasted Pumpkin Salad ($15), Grilled King Prawns($25.90), Bacon Shimeji Pesto ($18.90) and more. There are also fresh bakes and pastries available at their bakery with the likes of croissants, bagels, breads, cookies, muffins and cakes.
