The high tea set comes with a series of durian-infused sweets and savouries, complimentary welcome drink, free flow TWG and coffee, plus a complimentary glass of champagne or sparkling tea on weekends. All the sweets in the set feature Mao Shan Wang durian, and some of our favourites include the Durian Crepe, which is shaped like a love letter and stuffed with rich durian pulp and tastes pretty close to eating the actual durian fruit itself! The Durian with Mango Pomelo Verrine and Durian Pâte à Choux also contain a generous amount of durian pureé and durian-infused cream.

The Durian Chocolate Praline is shaped like an actual durian fruit, and surprisingly the combination of durian and chocolate went well together, without being overly sweet. The Durian Cheese Tart was crisp and flaky, with a good dollop of durian pureé, though the cheese flavour was quite subtle. Some items that could be improved included the Durian Madeleine which didn’t really have much durian flavour and the Durian Macaron which had a pretty soggy macaron shell.
