Mandai Wildlife Reserve has been absolutely buzzing with new openings lately: with the soon-to-be-opened adventure zoo, Rainforest Wild Asia, and also Singapore’s first-ever cave dining experience. And there’s still more to look forward to, now that the highly-anticipated Mandai Rainforest Resort is finally open too. Here’s your first look at what to expect from a stay at the stunning resort.
Brought to you by Banyan Tree, Mandai Rainforest Resort boasts picturesque nature vibes, in view of the surrounding rainforest. This is the first-ever resort that’s situated in a world-class nature and wildlife destination. If you’re lucky, you might even be able to spot some wildlife like macaques during your stay. The resort is filled with lush greenery and has beautiful views of the outdoors, so you’ll really be able to immerse yourself in nature during your stay here.
The 4.6-hectare resort has 338 guest rooms, with various room types available for you to choose from: standard rooms, suites, family rooms and even treehouses. From now till 15th June 2025, enjoy 20% off room rates for stays from 2nd April till 30th June 2025, with nightly rates starting at $305++*.
For a more unique stay, definitely opt for one of their treehouse experiences. You get an entire treehouse to yourself, including a private bathtub, outdoor patio, plus unbeatable views of the reservoir and rainforest. There’s a total of 24 treehouses available, and we reckon they’ll be a great option for romantic couple getaways, or even group staycations with friends.
The room interiors are also nature-inspired, with tropical decor that reflects the rich beauty of the rainforest. All rooms are also equipped with exclusive Banyan Tree toiletries, mosquito mesh, coffee/tea making facilities, minibar and more.
You can look forward to 2 in-house dining options available within the resort as well. There’s Forage, a more upscale farm-to-table restaurant with daily produce harvested from the resort’s own rooftop edible garden. Forage offers a ‘Trust the Chef’ menu, where you can enjoy a special chef’s curation of specialty dishes for the day.
Planter’s Shed offers a more casual all-day dining experience with both local and international fare, plus buffet options for breakfast and dinner with live cooking stations and roving tableside service. We had a taste of the offerings from both restaurants: Lobster & Monkfish Salad from Forage, Duck Ravioli and Chocolate Coffee Fondant from Planter’s Shed. Note that the menu items and prices for both restaurants have yet to be confirmed, and dishes mentioned above are subject to change in the final menu.
Other amenities at the resort include a garden-inspired rooftop swimming pool that’s open to all resort guests; and also a private bird’s nest pool that’s exclusive to treehouse hut guests. All resort guests can also enjoy complimentary DIY workshop sessions, including making their own body scrubs, available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
There’s also an indoor gym and an award-winning Banyan Tree Spa, where you can enjoy luxurious spa services from $210++ per person, including detoxifying body wraps and massages, among others. For families with little ones, there’s the Rangers’ Club play room and also an outdoor playground.
You can also pick up a keepsake or souvenir from Banyan Tree Gallery, the resort’s very own gift shop, with the likes of stationery, fragrances, exclusive handicrafts, crochet items, clothes and more. Prices of items at the gift shop start from $6 each.
