Yan Cha’s bird’s nest capsules contain only 100% pure, authentic and fresh unsweetened bird’s nests ethically harvested from Kalimantan that are traditionally and meticulously cleaned and home-boiled for that ultimate silky soft and delicate texture.
Yan Cha looks to reimagine how bird’s nest is traditionally consumed, so while you can most definitely slurp up the luxurious delicacy on its own straight from the capsule, be warned that it would taste pretty bland, as the bird’s nest capsules contain absolutely no sugar. Instead, the capsules are made to be consumed in tandem with their signature beverages for a much more enjoyable experience.
We tried their bird’s nest with their Assam Milk Tea, Wolfberry Lychee Tea and Mango Sago Cream with Pomelo, and out of the 3 drinks we found that the Wolfberry Lychee Tea was most compatible with the bird’s nest as it’s the closest to the classic bird’s nest soup that we’re familiar with, and the flavour of the drink didn’t overpower the delicate and subtle taste of the bird’s nest.
