KOREAN STREET-STYLE “POCHA” RESTAURANT WITH SEAFOOD, BBQ, FRUITY SOFU & MORE OPENS TILL 6AM!

K-fans, here’s another authentic Korean street-style restaurant to add to your list! Hansing Pocha is a new “pochangmacha” or “pocha”-style joint, which is a nod to the many tented street stalls or vendors in Korea serving up comforting and hearty market food alongside some good ol’ alcohol.

Enter the red-rimmed doors of Hansing Pocha and you’ll be greeted by a nostalgic interior inspired by actual BBQ joints in Korea: complete with circular metallic tables for KBBQ, neon lights and refrigerators displaying the many types of beer and soju.

For more unique eats, Hansing offers the Hansing SapHap set (from $64) which includes Beef Ribs, Rib Finger, Brisket, Scallop and Aged Kimchi that’s meant to be grilled up and eaten as “3 layers” with a piece of beef, scallop and aged kimchi, all wrapped in a fresh lettuce leaf. You can also get seafood items like Butter-Roasted Scallops ($48), Steamed Scallops ($48) or Steamed Oysters ($65), menu items you don’t see often in Korean restaurants in Singapore. They also have more classic dishes like Budae Stew ($45), Kimchi Fried Rice ($15), Tteokbokki ($28), Kimchi Pancake ($25) and more.

The full Korean “pocha” experience wouldn’t be complete without some booze, and Hansing has plenty of that with their fruit-flavoured soju bottles (from $18) like Muscat, K-Plum, Strawberry, Lemon and more. You can also opt for beer (from $18), makgeolli (from $25) or other soft drinks. The best part is that Hansing opens till 6am, so you can get your feasting and drinking done till the wee hours of the night (or morning)!
