The most anticipated Christmas event of the year is finally here in Singapore—say hello to the first-ever World Christmas Market, a one-of-a-kind European-inspired festive market filled with over 80 stalls, warm holiday vibes, international street food, carnival rides and more. If you’re still on the fence about whether the World Christmas Market is worth a visit, read on for a sneak peek on what you can expect!
Festive-themed food from just $2
The highlight of any Christmas market is undoubtedly the food, and there’s plenty of eats you can look forward to at the World Christmas Market, starting from as low as just $2. For scenic views of the city skyline, you can head up to their rooftop bar.
There’s over 20 F&B vendors at the event, and while we were excited to try some of the “festive” eats, there actually weren’t that many being sold, save from bratwurst sausages, mulled wine and creamy eggnog.
Lobster Salad Sushi Taco, $10
Truffle Cheese Praffles ($14.90)
Red Sangria, $10
Kunafa Pistachio Kurtos Roll, $12.90
Cheesy Chicken Slider, $14
8” Bratwurst & Mozzarella Buldak Omelette, $12
Creamy Oreo Delight Milkshake $5.90; Strawberry Milkshake, $5.90
Most of the food items average around $6-$15, with more Asian and local-inspired eats like the viral Pistachio Kunafa Kurtos Roll ($12.90), Sushi Tacos ($10), Cheesy Chicken Mantou Slider ($14) and Bratwurst Buldak Omelette ($12), just to name a few.
Christmas carnival, claw machines & photobooths
There’s a modest carnival section with a couple of game booths, a Gingerbread House bouncy castle, as well as amusement rides like a carousel, train and pirate ship. Otherwise, you can try your luck at their claw machines for a chance to snag some Labubu blind boxes! Games and rides are priced from $8 to $10 each.
Snap away at the various photo-ops all around the event space, like a larger-than-life “snow globe” photobooth, giant illuminated candy canes, an LED rose and tulip field, LED Christmas tree and more.
Festive bazaar & live musical performances
Still haven’t finished your Christmas shopping? Not to worry, there’s plenty to shop from here, with over 60 retail shops and homegrown brands offering handcrafted goods, carved wooden figurines, ornaments, plants, snow globes, music boxes, candles, artisanal teas, curated wine bottles and more.
For the POPMART fans, they’ve also got popular blind box series and figurines, including Labubu, Crybaby and Twinkle Twinkle, among others; along with other POPMART-inspired goods like handmade keychains and griptoks. They’ve even got an actual Christmas tree farm with real pine trees where you can shop for your own Christmas tree to decorate at home.
Don’t miss out on the live musical performances by our very own homegrown talents, happening every night from 7.30pm onwards. We heard that there will also be carolling sessions going on at the event.
Free entry for all & pet-friendly
Entrance to the World Christmas Market is free, and furry friends are welcome to join in the festivities as well. As the event has just started, some of the vendors are not fully open yet, and we felt that the joyful, Christmassy vibe could be improved—perhaps with more lights and festive decor. While we felt that the event is definitely quite a far cry from the real Christmas markets overseas, it’s still worth checking out if you’re in the area, but do make sure to head down in the evening for the best ambience.
